I was today years old when I learned Denmark really fucked up Greenland:

“thousands of young girls in Greenland were implanted with IUDs without their knowledge or consent [from 1966-1970]”

(Side note: Make no mistake, I am VERY pro-birth control. I love my IUD—but it was my decision to have it inserted! Bodily autonomy, people!)

Of course Björk is the badass who brought this to my attention (I say, as if we’re personally friends).
